The main building features a theater-style main hall, seven medium-sized halls, a large banquet hall and a small banquet hall, and six small meeting rooms, all of which are compactly located on the first and second floors, reducing the frequency of moving between floors. In addition, there are 10 small rooms suitable for administrative offices, VIP rooms, and waiting rooms on the first floor, and 40 rooms on the fifth and sixth floors, offering an abundant variety not found anywhere else.

Annex Hall is a highly private hall with its own private entrance, yet it is conveniently located adjacent to the main building. It can accommodate a wide range of events from mid-size meetings to receptions. It can be divided by movable partitions to create two independent venues. It also features a spacious lobby facing the garden.

The parallel Event Hall and New Hall can hold exhibitions, seminars, award ceremonies, and large banquets at the same time. Event Hall and New Hall are the closest halls to the subway station and are connected to the main building by an indoor passageway.

Hospitality of architectural beauty

Architecture and art that touches the beauty and spirit of Japan

A masterpiece of “modernist architecture,” the building's unique design combines trapezoids and inverted trapezoids,
inspired by ancient traditional Japanese styles, to achieve harmony between the building and the surrounding mountains and nature.

Based on architect Sachio Otani's concept of “people gathering in nature to talk to one another,” the building is designed so that visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Japanese Garden with a borrowed view of Takaragaike Pond and the majestic Hiei mountain range from all parts of the building.

Much of the furniture was designed by Isamu Kenmochi, a pioneer of modern interior design.

The beautiful masterpieces created by talented designers and the craftsmanship of traditional industries are being carefully passed on to the future through actual use in the conference halls.

An art tour is also recommended, where visitors can view valuable works from that period by some of Japan's leading artists of the modern era, including lighting design by Motoko Ishii and artwork by Toko Shinoda.

A tea ceremony room that touches the essence of Japanese culture

For entertaining special guests or for a moment of peace
and quiet between meetings

Located on the banks of Takaragaike in the Japanese Garden, Hosho-an, a tea ceremony room in a hinoki bark-roofed sukiya-style building, provides the opportunity to encounter authentic Japanese culture and fully enjoy the spirit of tea through a full-scale tea ceremony.
In addition to the hall, the tea room is also equipped with tables and chairs, making it comfortable for participants from overseas.

In addition to tea ceremonies, we can also provide experience programs and demonstrations of traditional industries in Kyoto, the birthplace of many traditional Japanese cultures, such as calligraphy, ikebana (flower arrangement), and kimono dressing experiences.
